Reviews
enjoyed our stay here and the location is perfect for town and the beach. Breakfast is simple but lots of fresh fruit and breads, cheese and ham. The reception staff were extremely helpful in advice for restaurants and bookings. The rooms have aircon but don’t have a safe, fridge or lift. We didn’t try the pool as we spent all our time at the beach. We hired beach towels for €2pp for our stay which was great as we could change them each day.
This is a very simple and basic hotel, but I would definitely stay again. Room was clean and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was simple and basic and the only negative point would be for the old coffee machine... There is a game room and a swimming pool where you can spend some fun time...
RUN AWAY !
Cleaning staff stole money in my room, hide it a tissue pack in my bag-pack, so they were definitely looking to steal something…
Stayed over night for a 2 days trip in Porto Santo. I did not have many other choices but to book this place back in May as July was very busy for the date I wanted to visit. The only date I could get a room on the island was this place and was booked via a travel agent.
The location is great and close to the beach front and city centre but we had our scooter so it didn't really matter to us.
The room is minimal and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable (gave me a massive backache when I woke up the next day!)
The most annoying thing just like other reviewers mentioned is that the amount of noises you could hear from within the hotel and from the outside were incredibly clear. At one point I questioned myself if the interior door/wall were not isolated for noise cancellation?! I knocked on the wall at one point thinking were they made out of plasters?! Horribly noisy inside out!
The price we paid for was 🥜 so I couldn't be too harsh on the scoring and we could cope for one night sleep/well, barely a decent sleep to be honest. I would not recommend it to anyone wanting to have a relaxing holiday here in Porto Santo, please look elsewhere!
No photos taken for this review because it really wasn't worth the time to take any pics of this place!
Reading the bad reviews I wonder how much these people were charged to stay here; the prices were extremely low for me (through Porto Santo ferry or otherwise) and certainly cheaper than the better resorts around (though certainly paying more could be worth it!)
Location is easy enough to find and convenient for an evening arrival in the center of town by bus. Staff was very friendly and helpful, my only complaint was the line to check in when I arrived as so many people were staying here! Rooms are basic but a good value for what I paid, was surprised to find Air Conditioning in my room at the price, there's a pool you can sit around but, well--you get what you pay for, it's not fancy; I wouldn't pay for breakfast (which is pretty awful, not real coffee) but it was included in my rate.
The center of town and the main road with bars/roads is just around the corner; can't say this is necessarily a good thing as the people in these locations are likely to make you never want to come to Porto Santo as a tourist again. I'd definitely pay the extra to stay further down the main road near the beach partly because the places are much nicer and cater more to tourists, but I am not unhappy with what I got here for the money and wouldn't be too angry to stay again.
Worst breakfast in Porto Santo Island for 3 stars hotels !!! Full of natural fruits island, and they only use canned sirups!!! Restaurant full of cockroaches needs urgent cleanning! Not recommended place to stay !
The architecture is nothing to write home about - it's one of those concrete places we have all stayed in on holiday - but it's a great hotel despite this. The location is superb - right in the heart of the shops, bars and restaurants and a two minute stroll from the beach. The staff can't do enough for you and are all very friendly. The rooms and their en suites and the corridors and communal areas are kept spotlessly clean. The attached pub is blokey but welcoming to everyone. Theres a wide variety of goodies for breakfast (though you'll be disappointed if mummy hasn't weaned you off you bacon and eggs yet). We stayed two nights and our room was made up for our second night - isn't that five star service?
Hotel is okay as it is on a main road. You can hear everything, so very hard to sleep with all the movements day and night. Service from the front desk is standard .
Breakfast is also lacking. They only served bread / croissant/ hams / cheese. No healthy foods were available.
